01 — This is not another class

They don’t just learn technology. They build with it.

At Botnasium, students learn by building real projects, solving real problems and testing their own creations. No worksheets. No watching someone else do it. Every session ends with something a kid made — and can show you.

  1. Step 01Build

Assemble the robot, the mechanism, the structure.

  2. Step 02Program

Tell it what to do — then find out if it listens.

  3. Step 03Test

Run it on a real course against a real goal.

  4. Step 04Improve

Break it, fix it, make it faster and smarter.

  5. Step 05Demonstrate

Show the family, the team and the Arena.

02 — How it works

One project.
Four stages.

Follow one robot — the Mission Rover — from a pile of parts to the Arena. Every Botnasium project moves through the same four stages.

CONTROLLER WHEEL · LWHEEL · RDISTANCE SENSORCHASSIS 180 × 120
Stage 01 of 04

Start with your hands.

Every project begins with real parts. Students assemble the chassis, wheels, motors and sensors — and learn why things hold together (or don’t).

RobotsMechanismsStructures
when mission starts forever if distance < 12 cm stop · turn right 90° else drive forward
Stage 02 of 04

Make it think.

Then they program behaviour, read sensors and debug until the robot does exactly what they intended — not what they typed by accident.

Stage 03 of 04

Make it yours.

Next, students redesign. New attachments, new strategies, ideas no instruction sheet asked for. Version 2 is always better than version 1.

RUN 03 · BEST TIME00:18.42 BADGE UNLOCKED · PATHFINDER
Stage 04 of 04

Enter the Arena.

Timed missions reward the robot that was tested, improved and tested again. Every run teaches something — and every finish gets celebrated.

04 — The progression system

A journey,
not a loop.

Students level up by demonstrating skills and completing projects — never by just showing up. There’s always a next level, and parents can see exactly where their child is on the path.

  1. 01
    Explorer

Build and run your first robot.

  2. 02
    Builder

Code a robot that reacts to its sensors.

  3. 03
    Maker

Design and prototype an original mechanism.

  4. 04
    Engineer

Lead a team through an Arena series.

  5. 05
    Inventor

Take an original invention from idea to showcase.

The Arena teaches what a worksheet can’t: iteration, teamwork, resilience and engineering under real constraints — a clock, a course and a robot that has to work.

06 — Botnasium Lab Zero · San Ramon

Every great invention starts in a lab. So does Botnasium.

Lab Zero is the founding Botnasium laboratory — where our curriculum, projects and Arena challenges are designed, tested and improved alongside our first families.

08 — For parents

Serious about fun.
Serious about safety.

Our launch standards are being built around seven commitments. We’ll publish the full details in our Parent Policies before the first class.

Instructor screening

Background screening for every instructor before they lead a session.

Two-adult supervision

Two adults present in the lab during every session.

Safe equipment practices

Age-appropriate tools, clear lab rules and supervised use of powered equipment.

Authorized pickup

Children released only to adults on your authorized pickup list.

Parent communication

Clear updates on what your child built, learned and is working toward.

Age-appropriate curriculum

Projects designed for each age band — challenging, never overwhelming.

Small classes

Small groups so every student gets real hands-on time. Class sizes confirmed before launch.
