The Botnasium Arena

Enter the
Arena.

A real challenge field, a real clock and a robot you built yourself. The Arena is where everything students learn gets tested — and improved.

How a mission works

Build → Code → Test → Arena
  1. 01

    The brief

Every mission has a number, an objective and constraints — time, parts, rules. Teams read the field before they touch a robot.

  2. 02

    Build & code

Teams adapt their robot and program a strategy. Test runs on the practice track come first.

  3. 03

    Run the clock

Lights on, timer live, scoreboard up. Each team gets official runs on the challenge field.

  4. 04

    Debrief & improve

What worked? What broke? Teams improve and run again. The best run counts — so does the comeback.

Sample missions

Illustrative · final missions designed at Lab Zero
M-01 · Levels 01+

Pathfinder

Reach the target zone. No touching obstacles.

M-04 · Levels 02+

Sort & deliver

Use a colour sensor to deliver each block home.

M-07 · Levels 03+

Maze runner

Solve an unseen maze with no remote control.

M-09 · Team mission

Relay

Three robots, one baton, zero dropped handoffs.

Iteration

The first run rarely wins. The fifth usually does.

Teamwork

Builder, coder, driver, strategist — every role matters.

Resilience

A robot that fails is data, not defeat.

Constraints

Real engineering happens with a clock and a parts limit.

Saturday at Botnasium

Arena
Day.

Saturdays are designed to be the loudest, busiest, best day in the lab — classes in the morning, missions in the afternoon, families at the finish.
